Historique et Commentaires

Cet ensemble se trouve chez de Selys Longchamps (1853 recte hic) sous la Legio Libellago, ce qui correspond à la Légion V de la sous-famille des Calopteryginae, comprenant alors les genres Libellago, Rhinocypha et Micromerus. Je me suis alors posé la question de la cohérence du nom Chlorocyphidae donné finalement. Le type Libellago devrait alors le fonder et la famille se nommer Libellulaginidae de Selys Longchamps, 1853 (date corrigée ici) (com., 20 mars 2O24).

Cette famille est utilisée de longue date, sans changements connus. J’en ai précisé certaines subdivisions (Deliry 2014, 2018). Je place (op. cit.), le genre Indocypha, qui était alors plus ou moins en situation incertaine (inc. sedis) dans la sous-famille des Libellagininae et la nouvelle tribu des Indocyphini. Par ailleurs de la même manière, je range dans la même sous-famille et dans la nouvelle tribu des Aristocyphini, nécessaire pour compléter la classification de détail avec les genres Heliocypha, Aristocypha et avec un peu moins de certitude Calocypha (inc. sedis). Remarquons (voir fig. ci-dessous) que les « espèces » semblent mélangées dans l’arbre présenté par Dijkstra & al. (2014) : plusieurs genres tels que visualisés actuellement ne sont pas monophylétiques (voir Deliry 2018).
