Abstract
The records of Violet Dropwing (Trithemis annulata) at Fiesa Lake and Lake Vanganelsko jezero in 2023 are the first for this dragonfly species for Slovenian Istria (SW Slovenia) and the 3rd and 4th known location for this species in Slovenia. First reported observations of juvenile specimens in Slovenia indicates that the species may be successfully developing in the country.
