Calopteryx splendens cretensis Pongracz, 1911 : considérée comme synonyme de Calopteryx splendens selon la WOL. J'ai considéré relativement tôt [A préciser !] ce taxon comme une bonne espèce [2019].

Commentaires et Éléments de description - Ce taxon regardé comme une forme (NCC [1993]) ou une sous-espèce (Wasscher [1999] ; [2004]) pourrait être une bonne espèce selon H.Dumont (in litt. ex Wasscher [1999]). J'ai finalement adopté cette option rapidement [A préciser !] [2019]. Taxon insulaire robuste et au ventre thoracique des ♀ très jaune, génétiquement distinct [A préciser !].
Répartition - Endémique de Crète (Wasscher [1999] ; [2004]).
